On Wednesday 28th November, nine girls studying French for AS went to QEH for a speaking session. We started with some ice-breakers to get to know each other with a "trouve quelqu'un qui...." (find someone who) activity followed by speed-dating. Students had then 1 minute to discuss various pictures relating to their exam topics such as the media and social issues. After a well-deserved lunch, we split the girls and boys to debate on marriage and advertisement. The girls were against marriage and clearly showed how independent and convincing they already are! We finished the session with a quiz. It was an enjoyable and busy morning. On the following Friday (29th November), three A2 boys came to Bamdinton to do similar activities. They discussed pictures and quotes from current affairs and environmental issues. They all worked very hard and demonstrated impressive oral skills. Bravo les filles!
