Amid the pandemic, I started my first MUN conference in February 2021. Enjoying myself in this diplomatic discussion, I decided to participate in Harvard Model United Nations Dubai 2021. The conference was hosted by the Harvard International Relations Council, one of the oldest and largest organizations at Harvard University.
Over the four-day conference, I represented Costa Rica in the Historical UNICEF council, discussing the "Solutions for Displaced Children after WW2". With 60 young delegates in the council, many talented individuals inspired me with their insightful speeches. In such a competitive field, I am honoured to receive the Outstanding Delegate Award.
Winning an award in HMUN Dubai was something I had never expected. It is not just a milestone in my MUN journey but an encouragement to pursue politics-related degrees. Now that I am accepted as an Assistant Director in Harvard Model United Nations India 2021, I can work collaboratively with the student leaders at Harvard University. I look forward to the challenges ahead and finally, I would like to say a massive thank you to Mr Davies, who has introduced MUN to me and supported me throughout the journey.
