This week we completed the Junior Maths Challenge, more commonly known as the JMC; this is an assessment based on logic and reasoning.
We had 60 minutes to complete 25 questions in total, and each had their individual challenge. They had an interesting and unique way of making you think about the problem and use the logic and the techniques required to solve them. Questions 1-15 were worth five marks each, and 16-25 were six marks. The questions became progressively harder as we worked through the paper.
The JMC is a fun and non-competitive way to expand our knowledge and understanding of more advanced concepts, while still cementing our knowledge of basic methods.
Thank you very much to the teachers for setting this challenge up for us!
