Badminton School

Mrs Tear's Thoughts of the Week

Badminton’s soundtrack to the week has gradually increased in volume -  the sound of car doors shutting in the car park, the footsteps of scrunching gravel outside my study window, the laughter of girls as they problem-solve in their reintegration Taskmaster-esque activities or the cri de cœur for “Chocolate Wednesday”*.

*About which there was almost a major incident this week when the delivery was misplaced for Junior School - fortunately (for all concerned!) swiftly rectified!

It has been truly joyful to see more pupils on campus and to be able to catch some people in the eye to say a personal, if socially distanced,  ‘well done’ for so many things - from trying gravy at Junior School lunch, to amazing Year 8 ESB outcomes or great HPQ results. Well done to everyone and let’s keep the joy, laughter and, even if it’s just on a Wednesday, the chocolate biscuits coming!
