Mrs Tear's Thoughts of the Week

This week has been rather wet and wild in Bristol as Storm Christoph hit the UK. It wasn’t the best of timing, coinciding with the third Monday in the year, commonly called ‘Blue Monday’, when the fun of festivities are gone and forgotten. However, the Wellbeing Committee have ensured we are not blue at Badminton; indeed, in my case certainly, are instead rather red in the face as we take up their Compass Challenge. We have 11 teams in School competing to log miles through any sporting medium and rise to the ‘Red January’ Challenge.

‘Red January’ supports mental health by building movement into people’s daily lives. By marrying a fitness challenge, with the support of a wider online community, it generates positive experiences and connects individuals through a common goal such as our Compass Challenge… go teams! Updates are sure to follow as the month progresses.

In School it has been exciting to see new play equipment being installed in The Rough Patch ready for brighter days and also pansies and other hardy blooms appearing in the stone planters across the campus; some pictures below for those of you who are working remotely at the moment to enjoy.
