On Thursday 12th February we celebrated work from different year groups in our Mexico exhibition. The wonderful work of Years 7 - 9 transformed the gallery. The exhibition was enlivened by a fashion show featuring work in textiles and 3D that girls in Years 7 and 9 had made; there were headdresses and masks, reverse applique bags and batiked outfits; plus Year 8 paraded modern Frida Kahlo outfits in homage to this great female Mexican artist whom they had studied. We were very grateful for the enthusiastic introduction to the show given by two native speakers, Beatriz (Year 9) who is Mexican, and Marta (Year 9) who is Spanish. The exhibition was really well attended by friends, family and staff.
Thank you to everyone who came!
