On Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd November, eleven girls took to the stage to perform Oscar Wilde’s drawing room comedy ‘An Ideal Husband’. The cast beautifully took us back to 1895 London with their strong characterisations of the upper class enhanced by wonderful costumes and make up. The sincerity of the acting was superb with the audience enjoying Wilde’s witty humour, as well as listening to a story unfold about blackmail and political corruption in social and family situations. A special thank you should go to the girls themselves and to all the backstage crew for putting in so much time, hard work and energy into rehearsals; they were professional from start to finish.
