Match Updates

U10 V THE DOWNS Wednesday 18th January

Lost 11-4. 

Despite the score line Badminton made encouraging progress and greatly improved in the second half which was 3-3 overall.  The girls improved their pace and marking as the game progressed with some good possession capitalised on by Iona's shooting.  A lot to work on but as the season progresses I am sure that their hard work will pay off. Next match on Wednesday 25th versus Monmouth.

U13 V MONMOUTH HABERDASHERS Saturday 21st January

WON 16-12

An excellent start to the season from the U13s who have really developed as a unit. Their passing was strong and capitalised on a lot of possession. The score line was never in doubt with some good attacking play from Charlotte, Hannah and Maddy combining well.  The team worked well together and listened carefully in team talks on how to improve their play. A great team victory well done! 

U10 B V MONMOUTH HABERDASHERS SCHOOL Lost 3-0

A very encouraging first match for the B's which showed tremendous progress over the course of the match. Badminton were slightly overawed to start with but then got into their stride. Evi played very well as GD and made some good interceptions.

Serena moved well on the court and played with intelligence linking the attack and defence together. Nadine, Ruby and Bea also made valuable contributions and improved throughout the match. A good team effort which resulted in the girls playing the second half as a 0-0 draw.
