Model UN has had a great start at Badminton this Term with girls from Years 9 to Upper Sixth participating remotely and in real time with the Club. We have also had our first remote external competition, participating in the Exeter College Virtual MUN.
Pupils participated in debates on digital privacy, voting rights for prisoners, the conflicts in Israel and Syria and economic instability caused by climate change. There was even a Historic Security Council where pupils were able to debate past crises the UN has faced such as the Berlin Blockade and the response to 9/11.
The girls acquitted themselves wonderfully, but particular praise must go to Chloe, Year 11, who was awarded Best Junior Delegate in the Human Right Council! Well done Chloe!
