Let’s start at the very beginning, as it’s a very good place to start…Congratulations to all the students involved in ‘The Sound of Music’, performed on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th November! Two sold-out audiences were blown away by the talented students in Years 7-13 as they transported us to the Austrian hills (which were very much alive…). In only ten weeks, the girls on stage created a very memorable show full of acting, singing and dancing (a few of their favourite things), whilst the excellent backstage team supported the production with their very impressive organisation and technical skills. Stand out performances included Francesca as Maria, Simone as the Mother Abbess, Morgan as the Captain, Megan as Frau Schraeder and Ellen as Max, special mention should also go to the Von Trapp children, Polly, Polly, Katie, Maia, Amelia, Habana and Scarlett, and also to the nuns choral excellence. The staff are so proud of all of the students involved in the show and look forward to working with them on future productions.
