After the pressure last term of polishing their personal statements and checking every detail in their applications for mistakes, 6A students are now enjoying the rewards of all that hard work, with university offers flowing into Badminton from all parts of the country and beyond.
Students have applied to universities in the US, Canada, and Hong Kong, as well as Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England. Along with recognised courses in Medicine, Law, and traditional subjects such as History, and Geography, many girls are currently holding offers for courses ranging from Archaeology and Anthropology (Sarah), to International Management with French (Rishika) and The History and Philosophy of Science (Laura). Isabel holds the record for the travelling the furthest for an interview - to Queens’ University of Belfast - while Nadheerah wins the award for gaining an offer for the course with the longest title – Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics! Sasha and Stephanie, on the other hand, are celebrating the shortest length of time between submitting an application and receiving an offer – both received their first offer within 48 hours of uploading their UCAS applications. Maisie and Rosie enjoy the distinction of having received offers from all the courses they have applied for. A special mention goes to Francesca and Queenie; both have secured auditions at all the institutions they have applied. Queenie is preparing for her auditions next month at the most prestigious Schools of Dance and Francesca has offers at all of the Music Colleges to which she applied. Our warmest congratulations also go to Monica, Louise and Monica, who were successful in gaining offers at Cambridge to read History of Art, History, and Land Economy respectively; also to Isabel for gaining an offer to read Biochemistry at Oxford, and to Yulia and Hazel for gaining offers to read Economics at LSE.
We are very proud of all the girls’ achievements and look forward to celebrating many more successful offers over the coming weeks and months.
