The British Biology Olympiad 2021 challenges and stimulates pupils with an interest in Biology to expand and extend their talents. It enables pupils to demonstrate their talent and to be suitably rewarded with publicly recognised certificates and medals.
The Biology Department are thrilled to announce that two Upper Sixth pupils, Safari and Nimesha, entered the Olympiad this year and achieved a well-deserved Gold Award!
I decided to join Biology Olympiad as I enjoyed Intermediate Biology Olympiad last year and it was a good opportunity for me to go through the Biology A Level syllabus before my exams. I also saw this as an opportunity to stretch my Biology knowledge beyond A Levels which could be useful for my future studies in medicine. It was a challenging paper, and I didn't not expect to achieve this result, so I was very delighted upon hearing this news!
