This week the Psychology Lecture Series featured Gabriella Mitchell, a Senior Social Scientist for the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL). Gabby works in the Exploration Division and spoke to us about Psychology in her life.
She told us about her school, university, and post-graduation experiences. Most importantly, how Psychology has impacted them. Gabby also spoke on the different life pathways Psychology could provide you, in sectors such as academia, defence and government. She emphasised the variety of jobs and opportunities learning Psychology gives you.
She talked about a wide range of projects she has accomplished in her career, among visiting a historical tank and having the chance to interview highly regarded American defence officers. Overall, this talk was very eye-opening as I realised how many options for the future an education in Psychology can provide you.
