Isra (Year 8) was placed second out of 650 entries from 65 schools in the 11-14 category of the Uncover Copper Competition run by the Copper Alliance.
Isra’s entry of a hand painted visual representation of the multitude of uses of copper in the healthcare industry was described by the judges as ‘a well thought-out presentation excellently complemented some very good science, in particular its elucidation of how copper kills bacteria.’ This is a superb achievement for Isra who still has one more year in this age group.
