On Tuesday 11th June, Year 10 went to Dyrham Park near Bath for an afternoon of Art and History and some fun. Girls studying GCSE Art used the famous blue and white tiles as inspiration for their own work, sitting in the wisteria-lined courtyard to produce beautiful coloured drawings. Historians were told the story of Dyrham during World War Two and were able to examine documents and photographs concerning the mothers and babies who were evacuated there. Everyone toured the house and then they played ball games on the lovely lawns in the very welcome sunshine or just sat and ate their picnics and ice creams.
