In March, our four Upper Sixth Geographers Isla, Nicole, Nathalie and Phoebe, travelled to London for the Green Heart Hero Award ceremony. This was an event put on by the Climate Coalition, an organisation ‘dedicated to action against climate change’ and it was very well attended.
Presented by the British television and radio presenter Clive Anderson, groups and individuals from across the UK, including a number of MPs, came together to celebrate the work they have been doing to act against climate change and other environmental issues. The four Badminton girls had been nominated by the UK team coordinator of the InterClimate Network association, Michila Critchley, for their work within and outside of School trying to increase sustainability.
This was a brilliant opportunity to network and find out more about the great environmental work being done across the country and it was an exciting experience to be invited to the House of Commons Terrace Pavilion where the event took place!
