On Wednesday 15th January, our class had the chance to meet up with a local artist, Susannah Crook who delivered a workshop on the theme 'Pebbles'.
The workshop helped us explore the hidden intricacies and details in simple things, stepping back and looking at the beauty of our surroundings. We played with both colour and texture whilst using watercolour, experimenting with new techniques before creating our very own pebble paintings. Susannah told us that her work would take roughly twelve hours to complete but we managed to make our very own beautiful little works in forty minutes.
My favourite part of the workshop was discovering the amount of colours and details in simple pebbles and seeing a glimpse of the life and fun of being a local artist in this area.
