Whole School Trips, Visits & Events

In Physics, Mr Hutchings started off by demonstrating two A Level experiments which he said were “very interesting experiments the Lower Sixth can perform”. The first was using a Rubens Tube to show standing waves. He used soundwaves travelling through methane gas to show how it can be used to measure the speed of sounds.

The second experiment was using different coloured lasers to measure the length and speed of wavelengths.
