The recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria have seen the loss of thousands of lives and destruction to housing and infrastructure. People have been left without shelter in freezing winter conditions. Access to clean water will likely be a challenge, bringing the risk of cholera and other diseases. This crisis prompted the Phil. Team to do something.
Diya, Lower Sixth: “The Phil. team at Badminton School have set up a JustGiving page to raise funds for the DEC Turkey- Syria Earthquake Appeal. We appreciate that in the current cost of living crisis, there may be less money to go round, but any amount that you can donate will go directly to those in need to provide urgent relief for the people affected.”
