Badminton School is once again delighted to announce another year of GCSE exam success with 79% of all grades awarded being A*-A with just over half of all grades awarded being A*. In the face of an increasingly rigorous assessment system, the School was also extremely pleased that the percentage of Year 11 pupils with straight A* grades had increased from last year.
Headmistress at Badminton, Mrs Rebecca Tear, said; “I am proud of our girls’ achievements and of their individual successes. It is by understanding each girl’s route to this point, often balanced by an impressive range of extracurricular commitments and other such challenges, that one can really appreciate the significance of these GCSE awards.”
Director of Studies, Mr Stuart Dalley, said; “With ongoing press coverage about the tightening of exam marking, it is wonderful to see so many top grades being awarded. We are delighted with such outcomes as the 96% A*/A achieved in English Literature. This is testament to the dedication of the pupils here and the high standard of teaching throughout the School.”
