VIA student, Victoria participated in the regional heat of the ARTiculation competition held in Birmingham on Monday 28th January. The national public speaking competition, open to all A-Level students, requires articipants to talk for up to 10 minutes on a work of art of their choice. Victoria won the heat, defeating seven other competitors, with her beautifully expressed and personal comments on Gerhard Richter’s "Betty" (1988). Graham Grissin, Adjudicator of the competition, said of Vicky's performance - "a very sophisticated presentation on a very sophisticated painting."
We wish her luck as she prepares for the National final, to be held at Clare College, Cambridge on Saturday 9th March.
