A big 'well done!' to all of our Junior School girls who spent their Easter break fundraising for their new Sports Centre as part of the Thrive@Badminton campaign. Here is a short summary of their wonderful achievements:

Following a snow postponement in February, on Monday 12th March, 46 of our Junior School girls took part in a sponsored Swimathon where they were put into mixed teams and then swam a continual relay for an hour! After the colossal effort that each and every one of the girls put into their swimming, a combined number of 985 lengths were swum and a fantastic £1500 was raised!

Chloe (J4) and Ellie (Acorns 2) joined their father in Paris to run the Paris Kids Marathon Races. They ran 2.4 and 1.2 miles despite little training due to the weather conditions in the weeks running up to the races. They managed to raise an outstanding £500, meaning they will each have a roof tile on the new Sports Centre dedicated to them.

Adding to the Easter success, Connie (J3) walked 13 miles (21km) from Bristol to Bath during her Easter break. It took her 5 hours and 21 minutes and 28,174 steps! Connie's determination shone through the drizzle and she has raised nearly £200. The chocolate brownies at the end were a well-deserved treat!

The girls would like to send a huge 'thank you!' to everyone that sponsored and supported them and they are looking forward to using their new Sports Centre that their fundraising has helped to build.
