Forest School feed the birds

We have been having some very cold weather the last few days. It was -4 this morning so we decided to make sure that the birds had plenty of food to eat. We smeared lots of lard onto toilet rolls and then rolled them in lots of bird seed – this was quite messy but fun! We tied them to the trees at Forest School and learnt about different species of British birds as well.
