At the end of the Autumn Term, both J5 classes wrote Christmas cards to pupils of the same age at a primary school in Germany. Now schools in Germany have reopened, pupils received return cards this week from their partner and loved reading the responses. Here’s what the girls thought:
Poppy: “It was fascinating how we wrote letters in German and got letters back in English.”
Jaya: “It was nice that we got to chat to people in a different country. She was really good at drawing.”
Krishnaa: “It was great to get cards and to see how neat and different their handwriting is. I’m looking forward to writing back.”
Olivia: “The person who wrote back to me has his birthday the day after my sister.”
Megan: “It was fun and exciting to hear back from who we wrote to.”
Mrs Richardson would like to thank Jessica, our German Assistant, for setting up such an exciting opportunity for J5 and we both hope the girls stay in touch!
