Equestrian success!

On Sunday 16th November, Amy (Year 8), India (Year 10), Alex (Year 10) and Clara (Year 9) traveled to West Wilts Equestrian Centre to compete in the Dauntsey’s School Show Jumping Competition. As you can see from the photos, the girls came home with a handful of rosettes! It was the first time Badminton had entered a team for the 1m class and the first time Amy had jumped a course at this height so we were all really impressed when she came sixth individually out of 42! The team came third which was a great of achievement out of ten teams and Clara was placed individually in tenth place. Amy and Clara both jumped clear and India was a little unlucky to have a couple of poles down.

The girls also competed as a team of four including Alex in the 90cm class. Alex was a little nervous because she has not competed in many competitions at this height but rode very well and just had one pole down. Amy and Clara both had clear rounds and India has just one pole down. It was an excellent day for Amy as she placed tenth out of 77!
