Whole School Reintegration: Taskmaster!

The Whole School took part in Taskmaster themed activities in Form Groups as a way to get the pupils working together after a long time at home and also enter into a bit of healthy competition this week.

With the Form Tutors as the Taskmasters, the pupils were set a variety of activities ranging from drawing a picture of the Taskmaster, hanging the most objects from a piece of string and spelling the word ‘Badminton’ in the most creative way. Great fun was had by all and things certainly got competitive!

It was a fantastic way to welcome the pupils back to School and it was a pleasure for staff and pupils alike to see many of the girls interacting in-person again.

I was so happy to do fun activities with my friends because I haven’t seen them in ages and it was really nice to be able to interact with them again!

We did some very fun activities like making words with random objects and drawing animals without taking your pencil of the paper so it was definitely very fun and I want to do it again. I was teamed up with Lana who did all the activities with me and we were able to work together very well, although the time limits on the activities did make the tasks harder. Because we worked together so well, we came Second with only one point behind Celeste who won in our Tutor Group. Even though we didn’t win, Lana and I still had so much fun!
Scarlet, Year 7

I really enjoyed Tuesday’s Taskmaster activity and I found it was a great way to reconnect with my classmates. My favourite task was when we went outside with the other Form and we had to reach the base without the teacher seeing us! Although I didn’t quite manage to get to the base without being spotted, we had a great laugh trying to get there in time.

At the end of the day, the winners won a Cadbury chocolate bar, and they gave to the new girl in our Tutor Group to welcome her as it was her first day onsite with us! Overall, it was a great first day back!

On Tuesday the entirety of the Sixth Form participated in a challenge inspired by the show Taskmaster! The Tutors acted as the Taskmaster, Greg Davies. My favourite task was designing our own ice cream brand and flavour, mainly because I won! I called it ‘Too Cool for School’ and the flavour was berry.

I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and being reunited with my friends and the teachers certainly made the day more enjoyable.
