This Half Term J5 have been studying the golden age of discovery. They learnt about international explorers Ferdinand Magellan, Vasco da Gama and Christopher Columbus – discovering that not everything about them was heroic or to be celebrated!
The girls looked at the reasons for world exploration in terms of land, fame and trade, and as a Prep task, had to research and make food that included some of the valuable spies sought by the explorers. They made a wonderful range of feasts and treats, both sweet and savoury. Never has Prep been so enjoyable!
