On Friday 25th September, Involved held a virtual MacMillan Coffee Morning and Bake Off.
We started with a little film about the wonderful work that MacMillan do and then we showed our cakes to our guest judge, Ms Williamson. After this we separated into Zoom Breakout rooms so we could mingle with similar Year Groups. This was very enjoyable and actually worked well as we could mingle with people all over the country and indeed world!
We were joined by Mrs Tear, Mr Dalley and Dr Ryder who looked as if they were having a lovely coffee morning complete with abundant cake! We all discussed ways to mingle online in the future and the School and Involved are at the planning stage of more get togethers.
We then had the exciting announcement of the Bake Off winner. While there were some lovely looking entries the worthy winner was Ambreen Ramzan with this (pictured) beautiful and clever cake very much in the spirit of MacMillan.
MacMillan do wonderful work and our online coffee morning raised an astonishing £425 for their cause. Amazing in the circumstances. We would like to thank you for coming along and for your very generous donations.
We very much hope that we will be able to actually share coffee and cakes next year! Thanks to you all involved!
