On Tuesday 6th October, four girls from Year 6 took part in the Year 6 Maths Challenge at The Red Maid’s School. This is a competition to find out who are the best mathematicians in the South West at age 10 and 11. 36 schools were represented and the competition was fierce. The winners were BGS and Elmlea jointly who fielded some exceptional mathematicians and even quicker runners (returning your answers speedily being key to overall success). Our teams did very well too, being only six questions behind the winners after a whole afternoon of quick fire maths questions, with Flora and Charlotte coming 11th and Jessie and Tamzin coming 19th. Well done to the girls involved.
