Old Badmintonian Jasmine Wong, has made incredible use of her time over lockdown. Attaining an outstanding set of A Level results this summer and gaining a place at the Institut Français de la Mode, Paris, on their acclaimed Fashion Design degree course, was clearly not enough! Alongside these achievements, Jasmine initiated a creative global project that reached out to other ‘Generation Z’ individuals across different continents.

Jasmine’s 'Class of 2020' project connected 100 young creatives from different countries. It began as a digital platform to enable students in creative fields to present their projects, an opportunity that Covid-19 took away from them. Jasmine’s digital platform became popular and extended into a paper print zine. Her pioneering project gained momentum fast and this month she features in an article in the renowned I-D Magazine. Founded by former Vogue art director Terry Jones I-D is dedicated to fashion, music, art and youth culture.

The Badminton Art Department were thrilled to receive in the post this week a special edition print copy of Jasmine’s “Class of 2020” zine. We are so proud of Jasmine’s achievements and we wish her every success in her Fashion Design studies in Paris and her future creative endeavours.
